Breakfast. 4×4 off-road excursion to one of Jordan’s lesser-known but particularly spectacular places, the White Desert of Wadi el Dahek: a desert area east of Amman, consisting of bizarrely shaped white limestone rock formations that create a highly evocative and fascinating natural landscape. After the visit, you will enjoy the unmissable experience of lunch with a local family from the Druze community. In the afternoon, return to Amman and visit the country’s capital, founded by the Semitic tribe of the Ammonites and later occupied by the Greeks who named it Philadelphia: a stop at the Citadel, the most interesting archaeological area, and a photo stop at the Roman theater. Continue with a walk along the lively Rainbow Street. This is followed by an aperitif at one of the city’s most exclusive sky bars and a typical dinner in a restaurant. Overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure for Jerash, one of the best-preserved Hellenistic-Roman cities in the Middle East. Visit the site, characterized by the beautiful elliptical forum and the grand colonnaded street around which the most significant monuments stand, such as the Temple of Zeus, the theater, the nymphaeum, Hadrian’s Gate, etc. In the upper part of the site, there are also the remains of three Byzantine churches. Lunch during the visits. In the afternoon, proceed to Ajloun Castle, following part of the beautiful Al Ayoun Trail circuit with an easy trek. Dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. In the morning, departure heading south. First stop at the site of Umm El Rasas: an ancient settlement with Roman and Byzantine remains famous for its wonderful mosaics, particularly those found inside the Church of St. Stephen. Arrival at Wadi Rum, one of the most fascinating deserts in the Middle East. Lunch. In the afternoon, a 4×4 excursion of about two hours through the grand desert scenery of Wadi Rum, formed by sand and reddish mountains, and a walk of about one hour. Accommodation in a tented camp, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Early in the morning, departure for Petra. A day dedicated to visiting the Nabataean capital, probably the most scenic ancient city in the world; it is reached after crossing the “siq,” a narrow and spectacular gorge bordered by very high cliffs. Leave the normal tourist circuit to climb the ancient Nabataean processional way until reaching the High Place of Sacrifice, from where you will enjoy a spectacular view of Petra and Jebel Harun from above. Descending towards the lower city, you will admire the remains of the magnificent Soldier and Garden tombs before continuing with the “classic” visits such as the Arch of Trajan, the theater, the spectacular “Treasury,” etc. Lunch during the visits. Arrival at the hotel in the late afternoon, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Departure for Beidha, known as “Little Petra”: visit the numerous tombs carved into the rock by the Nabataeans. Continue to the town of Kerak to visit the splendid remains of the Crusader castle. Arrival at the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, located 392 meters below sea level. Lunch during the visits. Afternoon of relaxation for swimming, mud baths on the beach, and spa treatments. Dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. A free day to dedicate to various activities such as an excursion and canyoning at Wadi Mujib (during the winter period at Wadi Himara), or simply enjoy a beneficial day at the beach. Free lunch. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. WADI MUJIB CANYONING: Depart with a guide for one of the wildest and most spectacular places in Jordan, Wadi Mujib, characterized by beautiful sheer gorges through which the river of the same name flows. The trek takes place on the riverbed until reaching the spectacular 20-meter-high waterfall. It is an excursion suitable for everyone; good physical fitness and the ability to swim are required (a life jacket is provided); wear appropriate clothing (bring a swimsuit) and footwear. The excursion is available from April 1 to October 31. Return to the hotel. WADI HIMARA CANYONING: This is a Wadi located near the Dead Sea, characterized by rich vegetation of palms and oleanders and high rocks that take on a reddish color. The trek follows an easy and spectacular path of about 4.5 km (approx. 2/3 hours) until reaching the beautiful waterfall, about 80 meters high. Return to the hotel. The excursion takes place from November 1 to March 31.
