Day 1 – Cagliari – Oristano - You’ll be met at the airport for your private transfer by GT (Gran Turismo) coach to Cagliari for a tour of the city that includes the promenade with the imposing Palazzo Civico (City Hall), the Sanctuary of Bonaria, the St. Remy Bastion and the cathedral. On to your hotel where you can get settled and enjoy dinner.
Day 2 – Barumini – Giara Di Gesturi – Tharros – After breakfast in your hotel, depart for the town of Barumini, home to Su Nuraxi di Barumini, the most important Italian Nuraghe complex, listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visit also the town and Palazzo Zapata. Short stop at Gesturi for a glimpse of wild horses. In the afternoon, a visit to the archaeological site of Tharros, a town founded by the Phoenicians that still boasts numerous civic and religious structures. Back to the hotel for dinner.
Day 3 – Bosa – San Leonardo de Siete Fuentas – Santa Cristina – After breakfast in your hotel, leave for Bosa where you will enjoy a tour of this small but charming town with its old world canal and harbor and admire the Sardinian Romanesque Church of San Pietro. In the afternoon, your tour continues to Siete Fuentas to visit the lovely wood of San Leonardo and the picturesque church. Stop to take photos of the archaeological complex of Nuraghe Losa and then on to explore the mysterious Nuragic Well Temple of Santa Cristina. Back to your hotel where dinner awaits you.
Day 4 - Barbaggia – Orgosolo – Supramonte – Gennargentu Tonara – Fonni – Breakfast in your hotel and then enjoy a day dedicated to visiting the Barbaggia, along a road through uncontaminated nature all the way to Gennargentu. Lunch with the shepherds in Orgosolo and then a stop at Tonara where you can buy torrone (almond and honey nougat). Arrival at your hotel in Fonni in the late afternoon - time to get settled in and then ready for dinner.
Day 5 – Nuoro – Olbia – Costa Smeralda – After breakfast, leave for Olbia, the most important city on the superb stretch of beaches known as the Costa Smeralda (Emerald Coast) with a short stop in Nuoro to visit the city. As you make your way to Olbia, enjoy a scenic ride with fantastic views of the northeastern coastline of Sardinia and the island of Tavolara. Arrive in Olbia, get settled in your hotel and then you are free to explore the lively city and dine on your own.
Day 6 – La Maddalena – Alghero – After breakfast in your hotel, off to visit the promontory of La Maddalena, where you’ll enjoy a boat ride round the islands of Spargi, Budelli (panoramic), Santa Maria and Caprera (Tahiti), with stops for swimming and sightseeing. Back to Palau around 5.30pm, when you’ll head towards your hotel and dinner in Alghero.
Day 7 – Alghero – Codrongianos - After breakfast in your hotel, leave for a tour of the old town of Alghero, which boasts a rich historical and artistic heritage. Optional visit to Neptune’s Grotto. An afternoon visit to the town of Codrongianos to admire the Church of the Santissima Trinità of Saccargia, the most magnificent example of Genoese-Pisan Romanesque in Sardinia. Back to your for dinner.
Day 8 – Departure – After breakfast, leave for the airport.
