That’s Italy is a 15-day tour exploring Italy’s main art cities and most charming villages. The itinerary starts from Rome and continues through Assisi, Perugia, Florence, the Cinque Terre, Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano, and Siena, then reaches the South with Naples, Pompeii, Matera, Alberobello, Locorotondo, Cisternino, Ostuni, Lecce, Otranto, Castel del Monte, and Caserta. The journey includes guided visits to UNESCO sites, the most iconic monuments, and local traditions, offering a complete experience of Italian history, art, culture, landscapes, and gastronomy.

Rome – Today we begin our tour with a guided
visit of the Eternal City. The history of Rome is
written on every stone. Morning dedicated to ancient
Rome: Colosseum, Imperial Forums, Capitoline Hill,
Piazza Venezia, St. Peter’s (external visits).
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Assisi – Perugia – Departure for Assisi and visit of the Basilica of St. Francis, Piazza del Municipio, Temple of Minerva. Continuation to Perugia, which preserves the most fascinating unspoiled historic urban landscape, characterized by Etruscan gates, medieval churches, Renaissance buildings, and winding streets. Continuation to Montecatini Terme. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Florence – Half board at the hotel.
One third of all Italian art treasures are found
in the capital of Tuscany, which you will visit in the
morning with a local guide. Santa Croce,
tomb of the most important Italian personalities
in history, art, and literature. Palazzo
Vecchio in Piazza della Signoria with the copy
of Michelangelo’s David, the cathedral with
Brunelleschi’s dome, the Baptistery, Ponte
Vecchio with its ornamental shops. Free time
at the San Lorenzo market.
Cinque Terre – Gulf of Poets – Half board at the hotel. Day dedicated to the scenic beauty of “The Cinque Terre.” Small multicolored villages cling like swallows’ nests to rocks, accessible only by narrow roads or from the sea. From La Spezia we will take the train to Vernazza. Visit of the town and continuation by train to
Monterosso. Free time for the visit. In the
afternoon we will depart by boat to La
Spezia, stopping at Portovenere.
Lucca – Pisa – Half board at the hotel. Today we will discover Lucca, city of a hundred churches and
wonderful medieval walls. Piazza del Mercato, built on a former Roman amphitheater.
Piazza and Church of San Michele in Foro and
Palazzo Pretorio. In the afternoon departure for
Pisa. The Leaning Tower has made Pisa famous
throughout the world. “Piazza dei Miracoli,” the
extraordinary composition of the Cathedral,
the Tower, the Baptistery, and the Camposanto.
San Gimignano – Siena – Departure for San Gimignano and visit of this characteristic town, exceptional testimony to medieval urban planning. The wealthiest families had built the typical “tower house,” symbol of the wealth of the merchant class; at the time of its greatest splendor the city had 72 towers.
Continuation to Siena, city known for its
historical, artistic, and landscape heritage and
for the famous Palio in Piazza del Campo, heart
of the city, unique for its shell shape.
Continuation to Rome, check-in at the

center to visit classical and
Baroque Rome. We will start from Campo dei Fiori and
from there continue our itinerary to
Piazza Farnese, Piazza Navona, Pantheon,
Trevi Fountain, and Piazza di Spagna.
Naples – Pompeii – Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Naples. Meeting with the guide. Walking tour in the historic center of Naples to discover the most beautiful places of the Neapolitan city: Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, Galleria Umberto I, and the San
Carlo Theatre. Immediately after we will continue to Pompeii
and visit the archaeological site of the Roman city
destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.
We will reach our hotel in the Sorrento
area. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Matera – Breakfast, departure for Matera, one of the oldest cities in Italy. Matera is a UNESCO World Heritage site and its distinctive feature is being partly carved into the rock; its caves were inhabited until the end of the 1950s. Visit of the two historic districts (Sasso Barisano and Sasso Caveoso), a cave church and a cave house, and the Civita (the upper part of the city that preserves numerous noble palaces with the majestic Romanesque Cathedral). In the afternoon, transfer to the Valle d’Itria, dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Alberobello – Locorotondo – Cisternino – Ostuni – Half board at the hotel. Visit of Alberobello,
capital of the Trulli and symbol of all Puglia.
Visit of the Rione Monti (UNESCO World Heritage),
the Trullo Church, the Siamese Trullo, and other
enchanting views of this unique town. In the
afternoon, traveling along the magnificent Valle
d’Itria road, we will make brief stops in the small
white villages of Locorotondo and Cisternino
until we reach the magnificent White City
of Ostuni. Visit of the Old Town. Ostuni
develops on a hill overlooking hectares of
centuries-old olive groves that thin out toward the sea.

olive oil mill.
Lecce – Otranto – Half board at the hotel. Visit of the historic center of Lecce with the most
significant monuments of Lecce Baroque: Piazza
San Oronzo, Church of San Matteo, Church
of the Rosary, Piazza Duomo, Santa Croce.
Transfer to Otranto. In the afternoon
visit of the historic center of Otranto, the easternmost city
in Italy. Visit of the cathedral with
the chapel of the 800 martyrs, the crypt, and the
mosaic (one of the largest in the world), work
of the monk Pantaleone. Visit of the historic
center of the city, which preserves numerous
monuments, churches, as well as noble palaces of
remarkable architectural value.
Castel Del Monte – Caserta – Breakfast and departure for Castel del Monte in the territory of Andria at the foot of the Murgia.

In the afternoon we will discover the magnificent Royal
Palace of Caserta, masterpiece of architect Vanvitelli
who built it commissioned by King Charles of
Bourbon. The Royal Palace of Caserta and its gardens
have nothing to envy the more famous
Versailles and has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1997.
